Travel- Travel is where you travel from one place to another for either a holiday or a business trip or for visiting friends and family and is
generally a temporary thing.
Tourism- Tourism is when you go to another place to visit certain attractions for either a day trip or for a weekend
break.
Inbound Tourism- Inbound Tourism is when people different people from different countries fly into the UK for holidays or short trips. These could either be Business trips, VFR holidays or just a general holiday with family.
Outbound Tourism- Outbound Tourism is the opposite, this is where UK residents take a variety of holidays outside of the UK and visit another country. So for example if a family from Bolton was to take a Holiday to America this would be Outbound Tourism.
Domestic Tourism- Domestic tourism is when UK residents take short breaks within the UK and do not leave the country. Therefore is a couple from Leigh was to take a break to the Lake District then this would be Domestic Tourism as they would be taking a holiday within the UK.
GDP- Gross Domestic Product is how they measure our economy which would let us know if we were still in recession or we had grown out of it. This is calculated by adding the value of imports and deducting the imports. LEDC's also known as Less Economically Developed Countries.
